HIGHLANDER HAPPENINGS - Updated 3/13/09 LATEST HEADLINES GIRLS SWIMMING WINS STATE CHAMPIONSHIP! LONE STAR CUP The Woodlands High School is currently in first place in the latest updated standings of the UIL's Lone Star Cup. Current standings can be seen to the right and more information can be found on the UIL's website. BOYS SOCCER The Highlander Boys Soccer Team is currently in first place in the district standings. The team will conclude its district schedule Friday, March 13 against New Caney. Game has been moved to Woodforest Stadium beginning at 7:3pm due to weather. GIRLS SOCCER The Lady Highlander Soccer Team will conclude its district schedule Friday night (March 13) at New Caney. The team will begin playoffs after spring break. BASEBALL The Highlander Baseball Team will begin district play Tuesday night (March 17) at College Park. SOFTBALL The Lady Highlander Softball Team is currenlty in first place in the district standings with a 2-0 start. The team is scheduled to play Conroe Friday night (March 13) weather permitting. WRESTLING Congratulations to Erik Spjut and Cody Davis. Each won state championships in their respective weight classes. SWIMMING The Lady Highlander Swimming Team won the 2008-2009 STATE CHAMPIONSHIP. The boys team placed 4th at the state meet.
